During Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to India, EAM Jaishankar emphasised mutuals for improved India-China relations. He mentioned focus on border stability, counter-terrorism, and reforming multilateralism.

The bilateral meeting took place shortly after Wang arrived for a two-day visit focused on the Special Representatives dialogue on the boundary question.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar began talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in New Delhi on Monday and stressed that there could be positive momentum in ties between the neighbours only if there was peace on their border.
