Wall Street has clawed back losses incurred after President Donald Trump imposed global tariffs a month ago, capping the longest winning streak in two decades for US stocks.Shares saw gains for the ninth day in a row for the first time since 2004 after a better-than-expected jobs report and rising hope of US-China trade talks.

It felt much longer, but the U.S. stock market needed just a few weeks to roar all the way back to where it was on President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day.”

ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 73.36 points, or 0.17%, to 41,245.64, the S&P 500 lost 30.24 points, or 0.54%, to 5,656.43, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 94.25 points, or 0.52%, to 17,883.48.
