The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season got its first named storm of the year Tuesday, even though it was short-lived.

Tropical Storm Andrea has dissipated after holding its title less than 24 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center. Forecasters said Andrea, which on Tuesday became the first named storm of 2025 in the Atlantic, degenerated to a remnant low late Tuesday night.
