Russia launched a barrage of hundreds of drones and missiles on Kyiv overnight, killing more than 20 people in one of its biggest attacks on the Ukrainian capital.

An American citizen was among at least 28 people killed in a deadly and huge Russian strike on Kyiv overnight Tuesday. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said an American was killed as more than 40 apartments were destroyed by the Russian attacks.

Earlier, Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said on his Telegram channel that a 62-year-old American was found dead in a house opposite where medics were providing assistance to victims of Russia's overnight strike. At least 16 people were killed and 124 others were wounded in the attacks.
