A 54-pound meteorite from Mars sold for more than $5 million when it went up for auction on Wednesday at Sotheby's.

The dinosaur skeleton is one of only four known Ceratosaurus nasicornis skeletons and the only juvenile skeleton of the species, which resembles the Tyrannosaurus rex but is smaller.

A meteorite that is the largest known piece of Mars on Earth has sold for $5.3 million, with taxes and fees, to an anonymous bidder at a Sotheby’s New York auction Wednesday.
