Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is urging greater international pressure on Moscow following a deadly Russian missile strike that hit a Kyiv apartment building this week, killing 23 people.

A US national was among 14 people killed in deadly strikes on Kyiv overnight Tuesday, as the growing crisis in the Middle East forced US President Donald Trump to leave a key summit early and miss a key meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.

Earlier, Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said on his Telegram channel that a 62-year-old American was found dead in a house opposite where medics were providing assistance to victims of Russia's overnight strike. At least 16 people were killed and 124 others were wounded in the attacks.
