Just 13 horses have accomplished the Triple Crown of horse racing entering the 2025 Kentucky Derby on Saturday. An even less common occurrence, however, is a horse winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile and then claiming the Run for the Roses.

While the horses are always the stars of the Kentucky Derby, the trainers are often the stars of race week. Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, who has helped produce six Derby winners—most recently, Authentic in 2020—is back following a three-year suspension for Medina Spirit’s failed drug tests.

Post Positions have been drawn, and the field is set for the 151st Kentucky Derby.
