Universal’s 'Jurassic World Rebirth' debuted at No. 1 at the China box office over the July 4–6 weekend, grossing $25.7 million.

The seventh installment in the action-adventure series created by Steven Spielberg opened well ahead of expectations over the long Fourth of July holiday in the U.S. — where it racked up $147.3 million — as well as overseas.

Rebirth" is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $91.5 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.
