Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) slammed an apparent investigation into the Hope Florida Foundation, an organization linked to first lady Casey DeSantis’s signature welfare assistance program known as Hope Florida,

Speaking at The Vault, a venue for events, weddings, and more, the governor highlighted the state’s financial management.

DeSantis says Hope Florida has helped more than 30,000 people get off means-tested government assistance, secured jobs for more than 3,000 people and saved the taxpayer more than $100M.DeSantis stressed that Hope Florida is not an agency or a bureaucracy.
