It was widely reported on Thursday that Chelsea had won the competitive race to sign Delap. After rejecting offers from at least four other Premier League teams, including Manchester United, the 22-year-old striker is poised to join the west London outfit.

Chelsea has been on a nice run, claiming a spot in the Champions League on the last day of their Premier League campaign, and they now have a chance to also claim a Conference League title. They reached this stage with a win over Djurgardens IF, and will look to become the first club to win all four major UEFA competitions.
