Multiple subway lines have been disrupted Wednesday night after the MTA says power was lost between the Jay Street-MetroTech and Hoyt-Schermerhorn stations in Brooklyn.

Now, the transit agency is working toward having a completely contactless fare payment system. OMNY, or One Metro New York, will eventually replace the MTA’s MetroCard system.
