Summer is ratcheting down and the only major studio wide entry this box office frame is Universal's Bob Odenkirk action sequel Nobody 2.

Weapons has grossed $81 million worldwide, roughly double its budget, and is on track to be a huge box office success with a smaller budget.

“Weapons,” the new original horror film distributed by Warner Bros., blew past projections and dominated the domestic box office this weekend, grossing an estimated $42.5 million according to early numbers from Hollywood publications, surpassing “Freakier Friday” to earn the top spot.
