U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday to interfere with a deal to build a new football stadium in Washington, D.C., unless the local NFL team, now known as the Commanders, changes its name back to Redskins.
Scott Turner, the HUD secretary and former Washington Redskins defensive back, backed President Donald Trump's push to change the Commanders' nickname.
Trump also said he wants the Cleveland Guardians to revert back to the Indians. Neither team has plans to change its name again.
