Thailand’s Constitutional Court has suspended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office pending an investigation over a leaked phone call with a former Cambodian leader.

Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Thailand’s youngest prime minister and scion to the country’s most prominent political dynasty, may lose power barely a year after taking the top political office.

The suspension order capped two tumultuous weeks in Thai politics, triggered by the leak of the call between Hun Sen and Paetongtarn, in which she appears to pander to the Cambodian strongman and then denigrate a Thai military commander.
