Ferrari’s rollout of Lewis Hamilton has hit its first bump in the road. According to multiple reports Hamilton crashed during testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix and site of three days of pre-season testing for Ferrari ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Taking to social media after the reported accident, F1 journalist Scott Mitchell-Malm wrote: "Lewis Hamilton crashed during Ferrari’s private test with its 2023 #F1 car at Barcelona. Made contact with the barriers and caused damage that can be repaired today.

Lewis Hamilton was unhurt after he crashed his Ferrari during a testing session in Barcelona on Wednesday. The incident happened during his latest outing as part of a three-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the team’s 2023 F1 car.

Lewis Hamilton's second day of testing in the Ferrari SF-23 was not as smooth as the first, as the seven-time F1 champion and Ferrari rookie crashed into barriers at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday. According to the official website of Formula 1, Hamilton was unhurt in the team's private test.

Hamilton lost control of his Ferrari on Wednesday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in his third overall day of driving for his new F1 team. But he was unhurt by the incident, which has now been described as a “minor crash” by Sky Sports.
