The recall comes after a customer reported the issue to Dollar General employees; however, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the coffee. According to the recall notice, ingested glass could cause “damage to teeth, laceration of the mouth and throat, or perforation of the intestine.”

Dollar General has issued a voluntary recall in 46 U.S. states due to concerns of glass exposure in jars of its Clover Valley Instant Coffee.
