In an update to investors, Embraer has disclosed that the Brazilian plane maker’s board approved another four-year development pause of the E175-E2, the only E2 model the company has not pushed into the market due to issues surrounding scope clauses in the United States.

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has informed its shareholders that it will delay the E175-E2 development program by four more years.

While the E175-E2 remains stalled, the company's E175 backlog sits at 163, Aviation Week Network Fleet Discovery shows. The older model's popularity, combined with increasing interest in the current-generation models, has Embraer's backlog sold out through 2026.
