Former 49ers star Dana Stubblefield had his rape conviction overturned over racially discriminatory statements during the trial.

Los Angeles – A California appeals court has overturned the rape conviction of former San Francisco 49er Dana Stubblefield after determining prosecutors made racially discriminatory statements during the Black man's trial.

A federal court of appeals has overturned the rape conviction of former 49er Dana Stubblefield. In 2015, Stubblefield was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of raping a woman who was interviewing for a babysitting job.
