In the Preseason Media Poll, Texas received 96 votes to be the last team standing in Atlanta on Dec. 6. The Longhorns came just short of securing the conference title a year ago, losing to Georgia 22-19 in overtime.
The conference's annual summer event has concluded, but talking season will continue for a just a little bit longer.

Well, it appears that an Alabama player has now responded to those comments from the Florida State quarterback as well, with returning inside linebacker Deontae Lawson doing so Wednesday morning at 2025 SEC football media days.
