The warning against measles parties comes days after an unvaccinated child died of measles in Lubbock County about month after an outbreak began in West Texas.

It wasn’t clear the age of the patient, who died overnight. Texas health department data shows the vast majority of cases are among people younger than 18. The measles outbreak in rural West Texas has grown to 124 cases across nine counties as of Tuesday.
