Saline three-star offensive lineman Louis Esposito, the son of Wolverines defensive line coach Lou Esposito, announced his verbal pledge on Sunday. He chose Michigan over more than a dozen other offers, including power conference programs Purdue, Louisville and Pitt.

Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti sent a letter to the NCAA advocating against further punishment for Michigan. The NCAA has charged Michigan with multiple Level I violations, including recruiting violations and deleting evidence.
