Trump ally Steve Bannon entered a guilty plea Tuesday for his role in a plot to defraud donors to a nonprofit devoted to building a wall on the U.S. southern border.

Prosecutors had said Steve Bannon, who served briefly in the first Trump administration, swindled donors of a “build the wall” campaign.

Bannon's lawyer told Law360 that his client will plead guilty in a case accusing him of conspiring to launder money and commit fraud.
