Two people have been charged with four counts of forgery each after police say they discovered in a check printing scheme at an Iowa City hotel in December 2022.

A Florida man walked into a car dealership in Okaloosa County in the panhandle and left in a Porsche after paying with a check printed from his home computer, officials reported Thursday.

Police say an Iowa man suspected in a check printing scheme gave himself away when he accidentally referred to himself by his real name to hotel staff.
