Family, friends, and colleagues of slain NYPD officer Didarul Islam gathered at Parkchester Jame Masjid Mosque in the Bronx for his funeral.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Officer Islam, who was killed in Monday’s massacre, had been posthumously promoted to detective first grade. Mayor Eric Adams was among the other speakers at a service held at a mosque in the Bronx.
