The Hollywood Reporter states that Drizzy is attempting to persuade the court to force the record label and its chairman and CEO, Lucian Grainge, to hand over Dot’s contract. He’s also asking for any details and communications from Grainge regarding “allegations of domestic violence and other crimes” supposedly committed by the pgLang head.

Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge called Drake’s defamation lawsuit against the record label “farcical” in a letter to the court, refuting the rapper’s allegations that Grainge was personally behind the release and promotion of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”

In a declaration letter, UMG's CEO was particularly blunt in describing Drake's legal moves as "groundless and indeed ridiculous," and also revealed that the company had spent "hundreds of millions" supporting the Canadian rapper.
