A Powerball ticket sold in Kansas won $100,000 but narrowly missed the $285 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The tickets matched four of five winning numbers, the Powerball and the Power Play multiplier in the drawing Monday, Jan. 13, the Kansas Lottery said. A Powerball ticket sold in Virginia won a $1 million prize.

More than 560,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot has not been hit since Dec. 7, when a New York player won the $256 million grand prize, lottery officials said.

A Powerball ticket sold in Kansas won $50,000 but just missed the $268 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four of five winning Powerball numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, Jan. 11, the Kansas Lottery said.
