The NBA draft is still a little more than a month away and anything is possible up until the Sixers make the pick at three or make a deal to try and set themselves up to be competitive for 2025-26. Philadelphia went 24-58 last season in a disastrous, injury-filled campaign.

The Philadelphia 76ers just endured several months of desperately clinging to their first-round pick. If the pick had landed outside of the top six, it would have gone to the Oklahoma City Thunder, so the 76ers spent the second half of last season tanking in an effort to keep it.

On Monday, NBA draft insiders Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo reported "some teams" believe the 76ers could try to package the No. 3 pick with Paul George to acquire another star to join the Joel Embiid-Tyrese Maxey core. Givony and Woo name Kevin Durant and Lauri Markkanen as two potential targets should that be the direction Philly chooses.
