"The Indiana Fever announced today that guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald will both miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season after suffering injuries during the team’s game at the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday night," the team wrote in a press release.

The team has had to play more than half of its games without star guard Caitlin Clark, guard Sophie Cunningham was named in a lawsuit involving Phoenix Suns and Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein (she's since denied it's true), and it parted ways with six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner in the most awkward and public way possible.

An explosive first half paved the way for the Mercury to claim an 95-60 victory over a Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever. This was the ninth-consecutive game that Clark has missed for Indiana. In her absence, the team has gone 5-4.
