Giants President and CEO Larry Baer was asked during a radio interview about a statue for Barry Bonds, and he responded that it was “on the radar.” But Baer didn’t have any details of when that would happen.

To some, Barry Bonds is the greatest baseball player in the last 100 years, if not ever. Regardless of personal feelings, the announcement Thursday that the San Francisco Giants would build a statue of Bonds outside of Oracle Park was probably not a surprise.
