Penny was hired by Andreessen Horowitz, a Silicon Valley firm, co-founded by Marc Andreessen, who strongly backed Trump in the 2024 election, The New York Times reported. According to his employee page on the firm’s website, Penny will work on Andreessen Horowitz’s American Dynamism team as a deal partner.

Daniel Penny, the Long Island native and Marine vet acquitted for the manslaughter of a homeless man on a New York City subway train last year, has landed a job at a $45 billion venture capital firm.

Mr. Penny, who was acquitted after choking a mentally ill subway passenger to death, will work for Andreessen Horowitz. Before the killing, he had been an architecture student.
