The Steelers still haven't signed T.J. Watt to an extension but one insider expects a good will gesture from the team when a deal is reached.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ talks with T.J. Watt seem to be progressing after he held out of mandatory minicamp. Watt sent a message that he wanted to be paid there, but ESPN’s Peter Schrager still thinks the deal gets done before training camp.

T.J. Watt may finally be close to getting the contract he has wants from the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Wednesday, during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter confidently stated that Watt will soon be one of the highest-paid defenders in the NFL.
