T.J. Watt held out from the Pittsburgh Steelers' mandatory minicamp last week but both signs remains heavily committed to coming to terms on a deserved contract extension for the team's defensive star.

T.J. Watt may finally be close to getting the contract he has wants from the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Wednesday, during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter confidently stated that Watt will soon be one of the highest-paid defenders in the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ talks with T.J. Watt seem to be progressing after he held out of mandatory minicamp. Watt sent a message that he wanted to be paid there, but ESPN’s Peter Schrager still thinks the deal gets done before training camp.
