There's a little more wind in the forecast this week and potentially a few inches of snow for parts of Massachusetts on Thursday. February has been a winter beast. Just 18 days in and we already have more snow this month in Boston than the rest of winter combined.

According to the latest NWS forecast, snow is expected to hit Massachusetts on Thursday. It's likely that it will start in the evening hours and go into overnight, with the possibility of lingering into Friday morning, Tarasiewicz said.

The snow will arrive Saturday between 10 p.m. and midnight. Once it arrives, it will hit the ground running. The majority of the snow accumulation will occur between midnight and 7 a.m. on Sunday. There will be some light snow and flurries between 7 a.m. and noon but very little additional accumulation.

"How much snow is actually on the ground by the time the event ends is still kind of a big question mark, since there could be some melting as we change over from snow to rain on Saturday night to Sunday morning," said Robert Megnia, a NWS meteorologist.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Thursday on Nantucket, which is expected to get hit hardest by the storm. Cape Cod, the South Shore and South Coast are also expected to get some accumulation Thursday,
