A man has died and six others have been injured after a shooting at Elizabeth City State University’s campus in North Carolina on Sunday, April 27, according to a statement shared by the university

One person was killed and six injured during an overnight shooting at Elizabeth City State University, a historically Black university in North Carolina.

The small historically black university was celebrating its annual “Viking Fest” when the shooting happened, according to reports. It was the last day of the weeklong celebration at the college when the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. A 24-year-old man was killed and six others were wounded.
