By the end of Round 1, it was Fireballs GC Captain Sergio Garcia who emerged from a congested leaderboard to earn a share of the lead after shooting a 4-under 67. Garcia’s rollercoaster round included eight birdies and four bogeys. Last year, the Spaniard finished T2 at Bolingbrook and figures to be in contention once again this week.

As the 2025 LIV campaign is winding to a close, some of the top names originally lured to the now-four-year-old circuit put on a show at Bolingbrook Golf Club near Chicago as Dustin Johnson — remember him? — and Sergio Garcia each sit atop the leaderboard after shooting rounds of 67.

Prior to the start of the penultimate LIV Golf event of the season, the pair changed important parts of their golf bag, with both enjoying success on Friday
