A heat wave is moving in, with over 100 million people from the Midwest to the Northeast on alert for life-threatening heat this weekend and into next week.

The Philadelphia area is bracing for a scorching heatwave that will see temperatures reach the triple digits with added humidity that will make it feel even hotter.

A heat wave will intensify along the East Coast this week as tropical humidity levels and 100-degree temperatures reach big cities from Boston to Washington. On Sunday, humidity levels were higher in parts of the Northeast and southern Canada than in Florida, breaking records in some places.
