The NFL will launch its own investigation, likely under the direction of Lisa Friel, the league's special counsel for investigation.

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested Saturday night on a domestic violence charge. Judkins, 21, was detained following a “delayed battery” report in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., police told ESPN in a statement.

In a preliminary statement to CBS News Miami, the Browns said that they are aware of Judkins' arrest and "gathering more information" about the incident.
