President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Russia was ready to hold a new round of peace negotiations with Ukraine, potentially in Istanbul, although the time and venue had yet to be agreed.

While Russia is developing a summer offensive on the front lines and increasing strikes at Ukrainian cities, the US is in no hurry to increase military aid to Ukraine or impose new sanctions against Moscow.
