Walt Disney World quietly confirms the closure of the beloved Muppets area at Hollywood Studios later this summer to make way for Monsters Inc.

The Muppets are moving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and before they take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, guests can get their final shows in at one of the park’s longest attractions.

To make way for the monsters, the Grand Avenue area will begin a phased closing in May, with the last day to dine at Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano on May 10. Disney also announced that Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will close on June 7.

Disney has still not yet announced a closing date for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, leaving us without Muppets at Hollywood Studios for some time.
