Down but apparently never, ever out, the Frost reached the playoffs for a second consecutive season and will defend their inaugural Walter Cup title there after Saturday’s resounding 8-1 victory at Boston.

Minnesota Frost needed victories in their last two regular-season games — both on the road — to return to the postseason and defend their Walter Cup, won in the PWHL’s inaugural season last year. They won at Ottawa, 2-0, on Thursday.

Britta Curl-Salemme and Sophie Jacques each scored two goals and the Minnesota Frost tied a PWHL record for goals scored in a game beating the Boston Fleet 8-1 clinching the final playoff berth.
