The finger pointing continues while the trash piles up. As a strike called by the members of Teamsters Local 25 stretches into its seventh straight week, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey is demanding that waste management giant Republic Services return to the bargaining table and get the garbage picked up.

"Your company’s failure to resolve or even meaningfully address this prolonged strike is unacceptable," Gov. Maura Healey wrote in a letter to Republic Services President and CEO Jon Vander Ark.

The strike has caused significant disruptions in trash collection, impacting public health and quality of life.
