The task force members left Monday afternoon under the direction of Gov. Jim Pillen. On Tuesday, the group arrived in San Antonio and then traveled to Kerr County.
FEMA records show Kerr County officials did not use FEMA’s system to send warnings to phones in the critical hours as the flooding began on July 4.
As of 8:30 a.m. Monday, 75 deceased have been recovered in Kerr County, including 48 adults and 27 children. 15 adults and nine children are unidentified.
