Lawbrey is back, and the newest filing in his defamation lawsuit against UMG is making sure nobody forgets. Aside from the audacity of what Drake’s legal team is asking for, the documents fuel some fan theories about the ICEMAN era that were already pinned to corkboards with red yarn.

Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge called Drake’s defamation lawsuit against the record label “farcical” in a letter to the court, refuting the rapper’s allegations that Grainge was personally behind the release and promotion of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”

In a discovery bid, Drake, born Aubrey Graham, urged the court to force UMG and chief executive Lucian Grainge to turn over the label’s contract with Lamar, as well as information relating to allegations of domestic violence and other crimes committed by the Compton rapper.
