The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly just seven days away from the June 30 deadline where they'll have to make a tough choice between renovating historic Arrowhead Stadium, or accepting an offer to move to Kansas and have the state help pay for a new domed complex.

The Royals also have been linked to a site in Clay County, and if the Major League Baseball team remains in Missouri, the legislation requires commitments from local governments. But the Royals haven’t announced a site of choice since Jackson County voters defeated a sales tax extension in April, 2024.

Talks of the Kansas City Chiefs moving out of Missouri and into Kansas have taken place, specifically this offseason, with a deadline for the four-time Super Bowl champions to accept an offer to go across the border coming up.
