A northwest Idaho community is still reeling after a 20-year-old man was suspected of fatally shooting two firefighters and injuring another after intentionally starting a fire to ambush them.

Wess Roley, 20, was living out of his vehicle and his former roommate said he shaved off his long hair and started to "kind of go downhill.”

In the wake of the deadly ambush on responding firefighters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the suspect's grandfather spoke to ABC News on Monday.
