Studio Trigger returns to Night City with a standalone sequel to 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' that promises to hurt as much as the original.

A short teaser trailer for anime follow-up Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has been released, confirming that protagonist “David is dead but Night City lives on”. Speaking at Anime Expo 2025 this weekend, as reported by Gematsu, writer Bartosz Sztybor said:

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new standalone 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077— a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.
