Centimeter by centimeter, Mondo Duplantis is soaring closer to the sky and securing his legacy as the greatest pole vaulter in history.

Sweden's Armand Duplantis soared 6.27 metres to shatter the world pole vault record for a staggering 11th time at the All Star Perche meet in Clermont-Ferrand, France on Friday.

It was the 11th time Sweden's Armand Duplantis had broken the record by one centimeter since first claiming it with a leap of 6.16m in February 2020.
