CINCINNATI — The Reds acquired Ryan Vilade off of waivers from the Cardinals on Saturday. The 26-year-old has experience at left field, right field and shortstop. He was optioned to Triple-A and the Reds designated Jacob Hurtubise for assignment.

Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona says it may take some time to get Hunter Greene back from injury. Greene is battling groin issues.
