Police continue to investigate a shooting Tuesday that injured five people at the Brass Mill Center mall in Waterbury; a news conference is planned for today.

No fatalities were reported and a person was in custody Tuesday night. Police said they 'do not believe this was a random act of violence.'

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) - A man who shot five people at the Brass Mill Center in Waterbury was arrested and faced a judge, police confirmed. They identified the suspect as 19-year-old Tajuan Washington. Washington was charged with five counts of assault and weapons violations. He was held on a $2 million bond.
