The Cincinnati Bengals added Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks to the roster in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft, giving fans a little late-draft excit ement in the form of another offensive weapon for Joe Burrow.

Brooks finished his time at Tech with 4,557 rushing yards across 56 games, breaking Byron Hanspard’s program record late in his final season with the Red Raiders. Brooks scored 47 total touchdowns which ranks third in program history and is one of seven players with more than 5,000 career all purpose yards for Tech (5,126).
